Every Enclave features a 310-hp 3.6-liter V-6, which pairs smoothly with the 9-speed automatic transmission. The suspension’s tuned more for comfort than for handling, increasing the Enclave’s appeal, at least until you see the all-wheel-drive model’s combined rating of 20 mpg.

The Enclave dresses the spacious cabin in upscale materials, particularly in Avenir configuration. It’s more successful than most rivals in its efforts to seat three adults in the rearmost third row, although it’s one of the few in the class that’s not available with a second-row bench.

An 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen comes standard across the lineup with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility and wireless device charging. The Enclave earns good marks in crash testing and comes standard with active lane control and automatic emergency braking.

The 2024 Buick Enclave wears a wide grille framed by narrow headlights that flow into the fenders, accented with a slender horizontal chrome strip. The side features distinctive curvy swoops that flow into a simple yet somewhat sporty tail, with just enough chrome to entice Boomers. The top Avenir trim wears more chrome and not exactly for the better.

The Enclave has an understated cabin, with the exception of an asymmetrical trim band accenting the dash. Buick offers lovely color combinations and a menu of upscale material options, such as the Avenir’s quilted leather upholstery.

At a length of almost 205 inches, the Enclave is deceptively big. That means plenty of passenger space but a tight fit in many garages. Front occupants can be coddled with optional massaging, heating, and cooling features, and there are several upholstery grades available, topping off with the Avenir’s premium leather.

The Enclave’s wide rear doors offer easy ingress and egress, and the second row comes fitted with a pair of captain’s chairs. There’s almost 39 inches of legroom in the second row, and the third row can seat three adults.

There’s about 24 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row, and the two rear rows of seats fold down to open up almost 98 cubes.
